CREATIVE GROWTH STRATEGY SPRINT/ AUTUMN COHORT 2026

Growing a one person business is an inherently creative act.

But it's easy to get stuck in #bigbiz definitions of success. The Creative Growth Sprint is the space to stretch your own definition of success and build the growth strategy that brings your vision to life.

  • "I adored this course and it was really such an energizing way to start the year - it gave me clear direction on a marketing plan i'm actually excited to put into practice. The 1:1 convos were really such a highlight - loved how you paired us with different folks every week and then let us have 2 convos with that same person every class - worked well for deepening the relationship and getting into the material."

    Creative Director, Rome

  • ""I've been in business for 5 years and was feeling burnt out and uninspired. This made me rethink completely what's possible. A little reminder — I'm actually building my own business. I can build it how I like!""

    Creative Director, NYC

  • "The references to theory and lit felt sort of outside of the culture of marketing. I'm not too long out of fine arts grad school & I really loved adding complexity to the stuff that can often feel like so many buzz words. Also the playful analogies— soil, garden, etc— reallllllllllllly worked for me!"

    Designer, NY

  • "The most valuable part for me was the fresh approach to growth - so refreshing to think of it in a new way that I genuinely felt was different. And also the community of like-minded business owners!"

    Marketing Strategist, London

  • ""I would do this sprint at the start of every year."

    Web Developer + Designer, LA

  • "I've long admired your approach to marketing as it is very similar to mine, so honestly jumped at the chance of working with you without knowing if I needed to. But I can now say it was so needed and so much better than I could have expected."

You left the big job title for more freedom.

But you’re kind of building a version of what you had before.

You bring so much more than your deliverables to a project.

But can’t quite find the right words to articulate this in a way that ties all of your skills, experiences and (weird) tastes together.

You’re over the idea that growth = social media.

And want a growth framework designed around how you actually like to connect with people.

You don’t want to figure this out alone.

You know the answers live in conversation. You want inspiration, accountability, and the kind of mirrors (/new work mates) that help you see your own superpowers more clearly.

Our starting point is to define what success actually looks like for your one person business today. From there, we’ll build your creative growth strategy from the inside out and go from…

this …

…to articulating the special sauce that unites everything you do, designing the business garden you want to grow, and feeling confident about how you will bring this to life over the next 12 months.

You'll finish the sprint feeling [re]inspired about the one person business you are building.

You’ll walk away with

01 / Clarity on what success actually looks like for you and growth KPIs that reflect this.

02/ Your creative business ecosystem mapped out as a garden; services, offers, creative outlets

03 / A message that feels unmistakably yours and unites everything you do

04 / A growth plan that connects the dots between here and your version of success

05 / A living strategy document that evolves as you do; your Creative Growth OS built in Notion across the six weeks.

06 / A group of smart, curious people building worlds alongside yours. Peers who will stretch your thinking on what’s possible and mirror your superpowers back to you.

Meet Matilda

I'm a strategist, startup advisor, and fractional marketing leader based in SE London.

I've spent 10+ years growing startup and scaleup businesses; launching into new markets, driving millions of app downloads, and building brands from scratch to acquisition.

But after several years of running my own consultancy, the ubiquitous goal of “more” stopped making sense to me, especially, for one person businesses like mine.

We have the freedom to design a business, and therefor a life, that is creatively fulfilling and financially rewarding. But working out what that looks like easily falls to the bottom of the to-do list. You end up questioning whether you even have a business or are “just” a freelancer.

I am here to tell you, you are a one person business owner, and you get to design exactly how you want your business world to look, feel, and grow.

  • Think boldly about your goals for the year and reimagine where your business can take you.

  • Unlock the beauty of group insight. You’ll learn as much from each other as you do from me — the reflections, shares, and conversations are where so many breakthroughs happen.

  • Access expert strategic frameworks drawn from 10+ years working with brands like Lime, Sonos, London Institute of Photography, and dozens of creative-led businesses.

  • Identify your superpowers and understand your context in the market.

Clarify the big picture vision for your one person business.

Create a strategy that turns it into action.

Tap into fresh energy, momentum, and creative community.

The next live cohort starts Friday September 26th 2026

FAQs

  • During the sprint we’ll look at the fuller spectrum of growth, which can include:

    • Financial growth: fundamental to running a successful creative business

    • Creative growth: making work you’re proud of, not just work that pays the bills

    • Intellectual growth: thinking bigger, deepening your ideas, widening your references

    • Relational growth: building relationships, collaborators, and community around your work

    • Ecosystem growth: creating channels, experiences, and touchpoints that strengthen your world

    • Identity growth: stepping into the version of you that can hold the business you want

Most people feel the tension (“I want to grow, but just more more more?”) without having language or structure for it.

This sprint gives you the concepts, the space, and the tools to define what multi-dimensional growth looks like for you — and then build a strategy that enables you to bring it to life.

  • Yes. We’ll think holistically about growth, but for most people revenue growth is the biggest focus that allows you to spend time growing other areas of your business.

  • If you can’t make. a session, it will be recorded and sent to you.

  • Beyond the 75-minute live session, plan for an additional 45–60 minutes to apply the exercises inside your Notion system.

  • You need to have a solid idea of what you offer (even if the services are not completely clear yet) and already have started working with clients. It’s most suitable for freelancers and one person businesses with several years experience running their business.

  • Yes! I’m absolutely not here to tell you not to utilise the tools we have available to us. I just don’t want your entire business to live or die at the hand of the IG algos so will help you build out a stronger ecosystem.
